New leaf growth begins pure white and develops gorgeous light and dark green speckles with age, eventually developing an unusual pink tinge in winter. Little pruning required but you can remove any unwanted or badly formed shoots in late winter/early spring. The Euonymus (Spindle Tree) can be planted in most types of well drained, relatively fertile soil. It is best to plant them in full sun or partial shaded areas.
