Product Description
Fritillaria imperialis Rubra adds an exotic touch to the spring garden. Produces upside down bells of scarlet-red-almost-orange blooms. Its leaves are also highly unique, appearing in bright green tufts above the blooms and in tiers below. An ideal addition to an informal spring display, whether that's in the border or in a container.

Growing at a glance…
Plant bulbs from September through to mid-December. Plant large bulbs at least 30cm deep, spaced 10cm apart. Small bulbs can be planted 5cm deep and around 3-4cm apart. For best results, plant in beds and borders, or even in containers if it's large enough and has holes for drainage. Deadhead regularly to encourage new growth, and leave to die back once they've finished flowering to allow the bulb to soak up all the energy from the sun.
