Also known as the 'Miracle Berry', Lychnis barbarum is high in vitamin and antioxidants, easy to see why it holds this name. A deciduous shrub, they produce spiny stems and narrow green leaves, followed by purple flowers in spring. Orange-red berries follow in late summer. Pound for pound they are said to contain vitamin C than oranges, along with the high levels of nutrients and antioxidants the Goji Berry is one of the latest so called 'super-foods'. The plants are very easy to grow and will start to produce fruit in their second season. The fruit of the Goji Berry when dried are about the same size as a raisin and taste like a cross between a cranberry and cherry. Plants supplied in a 9cm pot.
