Ribes Gooseberry Captivator (Red Thornless), also known as Gooseberry bush or Rubus uva-crispa Captivator, will produce tasty fruits throughout summer (usually from July). However, this isn't all it has to offer! This plant will also create white flowers in the spring months, and its foliage will last for months on end. A thornless wonder for any allotment or kitchen garden display. Please note: Young plants and new shoots on existing plants can have thorns, but will drop off and become virtually thornless once the plant has matured. This plant is mostly thorn-free, but even thornless varieties can still have the occasional one here and there.

They are very robust and can be planted free standing. They can create an attractive boundary within a working fruit and vegetable garden. Water liberally during dry spells. Prune any time between October and March.They can be planted in fertile and well drained soil outdoors in a sunny, yet sheltered position. The soil should be rich in manure and compost.
