Product Description
Hedera helix 'Glacier' has a naturally climbing habit that makes a useful vertical feature against walls and trellis, reaching over two metres in height with a spread of up to one metre. Its evergreen character keeps this structure in place throughout the year, while the softly trailing foliage gives the plant a relaxed, textural quality within mixed planting.
The grey-green leaves are shallowly lobed and irregularly edged in narrow cream, creating a cool, understated variegation that catches the light without overwhelming nearby plants. 'Glacier' tolerates full sun and partial shade and grows in moist yet well-drained soil, including chalk, clay, loam and sand. Its foliage provides dependable colour and contrast within the planting scheme.
For companions, the restrained colouring of 'Glacier' works particularly well alongside richer foliage and softer textures. Heuchera introduces deeper leaf colours, while Ferns bring finely divided fronds and a woodland character. Euonymus would provide another evergreen presence, with contrasting leaf shapes and complementary variegation.

Growing at a glance…
Water freely during the growing season and make sure to dead-head regularly to prolong flowering.Unpack immediately upon arrival and give them a little water if needed. If potting up into containers, use a balanced compost (that is not too peaty) as it is inclined to produce a hard crust if allowed to dry. We recommend a John Innes Compost No 2.
