The Honeyberry is a truly unique Honeysuckle that produces elongated purple fruits which bear remarkable similarities to the traditional blueberry. A very hardy variety, originating from North East Asia, this stunning shrub is able to withstand colder temperatures where the fruits start to develop in July through to October. Often referred to as the 'Haskap Berry' or 'Lonicera Caerulea', the fruits of the Honeyberry are packed with vitamin C and antioxidants and are regarded for their seemingly endless health benefits. Haskap berries are deliciously sweet and can be cooked into preserves and desserts for an irresistible summer treat. A great addition to any garden and easy to grow, butterflies and birds will also be attracted to this striking Honeysuckle variety. This is a vigorous climber that can be trailed up trellis or walls where they reach a mature height of 3m. For best results, plant in a sunny, preferably south-facing spot. 9cm pot grown plants supplied.
