Product Description

This magnificent spreading shrub is a pure delight with very distinctive colours. From June to October, cone shaped panicles will form in bright green at first, then to white with a lime green glow fading to cream. In autumn, the blooms will flush with a pale pink that gradually deepens ending with a mix of green and pink at the height of its growing season. Each cone shaped flower is up to 30cm in length and nestles on a bed of yellow-green deciduous leaves. This Hydrangea holds the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit for reliable performance, stability of colour and form and good resistance to pests and diseases. With a mature height and spread of 2m, it makes an excellent border plant, the flowers can be cut and dried for an impressive long-lasting indoor display. 9cm pot plants supplied.

Growing at a glance…

Make sure that the hydrangea receives lots of water when the summer comes. Hydrangeas are very low maintenance and will need little pruning, but can be done in spring as new shoots appear. The old shoots should be left in the winter and not removed until spring. Apply a mulch annually to protect from winter colds.Hydrangeas can be grown in fertile, well drained soil and often prefer a shady location. It is also worth thinking about how much exposure the area you wish to plant them in will havetowards strong winds, as they can often limit new growth in spring.
