Product Description

Impatiens New Guinea Clockwork Purple’s deep, jewel-toned blooms bring a touch of elegance to summer containers, borders and hanging baskets. Set against dark green foliage, the rich purple flowers provide depth and contrast in mixed plantings.

This compact, mounded variety grows to around 25 cm tall and spreads to approximately 30 cm, providing tidy, uniform coverage that suits both single-colour and mixed displays.

Flowering steadily through the summer, it thrives in fertile, well-drained soil and performs equally well in full sun or partial shade. Its long-lasting colour ensures a striking presence throughout the season. This New Guinea variety has exceptional resistance to downy mildew.

We recommend pairing Clockwork Purple with trailing Lobelia, Bacopa, or silver-leaved foliage, as it adds sophistication and cohesion to summer planting schemes without overwhelming neighbouring plants.

Growing at a glance…

Unpack your plants immediately upon arrival and give them a little water if they feel a bit dry. Pot on for 2-3 weeks before planting them out into their final positions outdoors. Alternatively, you can plant these plugs directly outdoors if the weather permits (all risk of frost is gone). Water these plants freely during the growing season and make sure to dead-head spent flowers regularly to prolong their display.
