Ipheion uniflorum Wisley Blue is the perfect plant for garden borders, rockeries, pathways and pots. It has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit for its outstanding qualities. It will produce very attractive lilac-blue star-shaped flowers, each petal has a darker stripe through the middle. Often referred to as the Spring Starflower, the flowers have a lovely sweet scent in mid to late spring. The green strap-shaped foliage has a slight onion scent. It is definately worthwhile planting somewhere you can appreciate the scent. Very easy to grow, flowering from March-May. Height 20-25cm. Top sized bulbs are supplied. Height 20-25cm.
