Product Description

Tall, compact, and easy to grow - just a few ways to describe the impressive plants that Lettuce Romaine Parris Island Cos produces. Their leaves have a slight curl to them, which helps accentuate the flavour and crunch. This variety of lettuce is highly bolt resistant, a great attribute to have as it makes growing them an easier task. They're also highly resistant to diseases! A must-have lettuce for any allotment or vegetable patch.

Growing at a glance…

Lettuce is hardy and can be planted as soon as the soil can be worked (from March). Can be sown directly into place outside from March to July. Pop 3 seeds every 10cm in rows that are 10-15cm apart. Alternatively, these seeds can be grown indoors for 3-4 weeks before transplanting outdoors. Cover seeds lightly with a few inches of fine soil and firm in gently. Thin young seedlings to one plant per spot (give about 10cm space).
