Mahonia eurybracteata Soft Caress

Mahonia eurybracteata Soft Caress

OUT OF STOCK
Mahonia Soft Caress produces yellow, cup-shaped flowers in August and September, followed by blue berries throughout the colder months which will attract birds to the garden. Winner of the Plant of the Year Award at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2013, Soft Caress is the first Mahonia with spine-free leaves, which means they can now be planted nearer to pathways and doorways where can brush against them. Instead, wispy linear leaves in a subdued blue-green provide a more pleasing look. This compact, evergreen shrub looks great when planted in large patio containers, or even in the border in partial shade. The yellow flowers of Mahonia Soft Caress complement other yellow winter flowerers such as winter jasmine and the yellow Witch Hazel (Hamamelis Mollis). Or you could choose to plant with other evergreens such as Buxus, Camellia and Photinia Red Robin. Has a compact habit, height and spread 1m. 13cm pot grown plants supplied.
