Product Description
Narcissus lobularis is a delicate wild daffodil with creamy-yellow petals, a deeper yellow trumpet, and a naturalising habit. Each flower is lightly nodding, carried on slender stems above fine, grass-like foliage, reaching around 20 cm in height and forming loose, informal clumps that settle easily into relaxed planting schemes where subtle movement and seasonal lightness are key.
Flowering in early spring, typically from March, it emerges among the first Narcissus to appear, bringing understated colour at a transitional point in the garden. It performs best in well-drained soil and is well suited to full sun or light shade, adapting readily to grass, borders and open woodland edges where conditions remain free-draining and undisturbed.
It associates naturally with other early bulbs such as Galanthus, Crocus and Anemone blanda, where its soft yellow tones sit comfortably within a restrained seasonal palette. In naturalistic plantings, it is most effective where it can gently spread and merge into surrounding vegetation rather than stand as a focal point.

Growing at a glance…
Daffodils (or narcissi) are both easy to grow and incredibly reliable. Like many bulbs, it takes very little time to plant them. Remove any weeds in the area you'd like to plant your bulbs and dig at the soil to aerate it. Fork in some organic matter to improve the drainage and soil structure. Daffodils prefer sunny spots and well-drained soil, so keep this in mind when planting. Plant each bulb 2-3 times the bulbs height and place it with the shoot facing upwards. Space them twice their width apart. Cover with soil and water if the ground is dry.
