As spring creeps up on us, we're finally starting to see our favourite seasonal blooms appear in our gardens! From bulbous blooms to winter-flowering shrubs, there's plenty to see this February in the garden.
Winter Aconites
Winter aconites are gorgeous blooms to keep an eye out for in February and March. These bright and cheerful yellow flowers appear when not much else does, giving much needed colour to the garden. They love an informal, natural setting, and you can find them in shady areas like under shrubs and trees.
Snowdrops
Snowdrops are a classic late winter and early spring bloom. These bulbous flowers appear in drifts in woodlands and shady spots, and look amazing as they do!
Snowdrops are some of the earliest flowers to appear in late winter and early spring, so make sure to keep an eye out for them while out and about. They're incredibly easy to grow, so why not try them out in your garden displays? Our bulbs in green are great for growing early spring flowers en-masse.
Early Daffodils & Narcissus
Early-flowering daffodils can appear as early as February, giving the late winter/early spring garden an extra dose of colour. If planted en-masse, they'll produce drifts of easy colour, and look superb when partnered with other early-flowering bulbs like snowdrops and cyclamen!
Cylamen coum
Cyclamen coum are gorgeous bulbous blooms that can also produce drifts of easy colour. Their butterfly flowers appear in shades of pink, purple and white, giving your early spring garden a whimsical effect. You can see these flower from January and into March, so they give plenty of colour for weeks on end!
Iris reticulata 
Last but definitely not least on our list is Iris reticulata. There are many different genus of Iris, with some flowering in spring and some in summer. Iris reticulata are a popular early spring-flowering variety that can be grown from bulbs within flower beds and containers.
You'll see these blooms appear from late February and into March. Partner them with some daffodils or cyclamen for a gorgeous February display!
