Also known as the Purple Fountain Grass, this fabulous Pennisetum is guaranteed to make an impact in the garden. An abundance of strappy green-tinged foliage will emerge in spring which mature incolour to a striking dark red, almost purple. In summer, it will produce bottlebrush-shaped flowers on long stems for further interest. A winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, this ornamental grass makes a spectacular feature plant in borders and containers. Height 1.5m. Flowers June to September. 7cm diameter power modules supplied for results within weeks.

A fantastic grass that originates from woodland/mountain regions of Africa and Asia. It is best to make sure they receive some protection in the winter, such as planting in a sheltered spot or applying a mulch. Water freely during growth.Plant out as soon as possible.
