Nepeta & Calamintha

Nepeta and Calamintha, known as catmint and lesser calamint, are easy-to-grow, pollinator-attracting perennials prized for their aromatic foliage, soft colour palette and long-lasting flowers. Nepeta typically forms sprawling mounds with downy leaves and produces lavender-blue blooms from late spring through early autumn, while Calamintha grows upright with smooth, bright green foliage and bears white or pale lavender flowers from early summer into autumn. Both bring texture and fragrance to borders, gravel gardens and containers, delighting bees, butterflies and hoverflies alike.

At J. Parker’s, you’ll find a variety to suit every garden style. Choose from pot-grown classics like Nepeta ‘Six Hills Giant’ with its tall, arching habit, or the compact ‘Junior Walker’, ideal for edging paths. For a light, delicate touch, Calamintha ‘Marvelette White’ offers fresh white blooms that flower generously all season.
