Product Description

A fast-spreading, low-growing Petunia, Easy Wave Sky Blue delivers a broad sweep of clear sky-blue blooms from late spring through to autumn. Reaching approximately 30 cm in height with a spread of up to 80 cm, it forms a dense, flower-covered mound with foliage largely hidden beneath sustained bud production.

Sky Blue’s energetic, semi-trailing habit allows it to spill naturally from hanging baskets and window boxes, while also covering ground efficiently at the front of sunny borders. The even outward growth ensures reliable coverage in beds, and within mixed containers it tempers stronger shades, helping to unify more vibrant planting combinations.

Best grown in full sun or light shade, this Easy Wave Series Petunia prefers fertile, well-drained soil with consistent moisture and good airflow around the roots. Regular feeding throughout the season maintains vigour and encourages continued flowering. We recommend combining it with silver foliage, fine ornamental grasses or lime-toned trailing plants for contrast, or position among warm oranges and yellows to intensify its cool-toned clarity.

Growing at a glance…

Unpack immediately upon arrival and give them a little water if needed. If potting up into containers, use a balanced compost (that is not too peaty) as it is inclined to produce a hard crust if allowed to dry. We recommend a John Innes Compost No 2. Water freely during the growing season and make sure to dead-head regularly to prolong flowering.
