Product Description
China Town' is an extravagant variety of Floribunda Rose producing large, golden yellow blooms with a delicate blush of pink at the petal edges between June and November. A beautiful standalone specimen, it is most striking when grown as an ornamental hedge, with their profusion of sunshine yellow flowers creating a head turning display in the summer garden. Its hardy and robust structure of branches also produces an abundance of dark, glossy foliage which contrasts beautifully against the blooms for further impact. The sturdy stature of the Rose 'China Town' means that it can also reach a mature height of 1.2m in height, with stems of adequate length for cut flowers. For optimum enjoyment, we recommend that Rose 'China Town' is planted close to a path or patio area where the delicate, peachy aroma of the blooms can be fully appreciated throughout the summer months. Plant 50cm apart. Supplied as loose rooted plants. Please note: Fragrant rose's perfume is usually the most potent on warm, sunny days, while sat in moist soil. Its important to imitate these conditions, as it will release the fragrant chemicals within the flowers. High humidity increases the longevity of the fragrance as it reduces the chance of the chemicals evaporating.

Growing at a glance…
Roses should be planted firmly, to ensure that wind will not disrupt the roots. Apply a balanced fertiliser every 3-4 weeks in the spring/summer, and apply a mulch in the winter for protection. Can be pruned back to remove any dead wood or growth. It is best to plant roses in winter or early spring, provided there is little frost. To prepare your bare rose roots, soak them in a bucket of water for an hour to 24 hours (longer in spring). Then, dig a hole large enough to house the roots when fully outspread. Distribute the roots evenly around the hole and put in a little bit of fine soil to which has been added a small amount of bonemeal. Fill in with the rest of the soil over the roots and tread in firmly. The depth of planting roses will vary between 10-20cm, or as deep as they were in their pots.
