Product Description

Rose Climbing Iceberg produces brilliant pure white or creamy flowers surrounded by contrasting mid-green foliage. There is nothing more eye-catching than a climbing Floribunda Rose adorned with double or semi-double blooms with a lingering perfume decorating the wall of a house or gracing a trellis, arch or pergola. Climbers are easy to grow and reward us with height, colour and sweet fragrance. Climbers will repeat flower, providing blooms in summer and again in autumn rewarding you with this beautiful flower for up to 20-30 years. Suited for all varieties of gardens from modern to the more traditional. The climbing rose is versatile and can brighten up any space. 2 Litre Pot Plants supplied Please note: Fragrant rose's perfume is usually the most potent on warm, sunny days, while sat in moist soil. Its important to imitate these conditions, as it will release the fragrant chemicals within the flowers. High humidity increases the longevity of the fragrance as it reduces the chance of the chemicals evaporating.

Planting Notes

Planting Plant in a hole large enough to take the roots when fully outspread.
Soil Type Fertile, humus rich and well drained soil

Growing at a glance…

Roses should be planted firmly, to ensure that wind will not disrupt the roots. Apply a balanced fertiliser every 3-4 weeks in the spring/summer, and apply a mulch in the winter for protection. Can be pruned back to remove any dead wood or growth. It is best to plant roses in winter or early spring, provided there is little frost. To prepare your bare rose roots, soak them in a bucket of water for an hour to 24 hours (longer in spring). Then, dig a hole large enough to house the roots when fully outspread. Distribute the roots evenly around the hole and put in a little bit of fine soil to which has been added a small amount of bonemeal. Fill in with the rest of the soil over the roots and tread in firmly. The depth of planting roses will vary between 10-20cm, or as deep as they were in their pots.
