Product Description

Rubus phoenicolasius (Japanese Wineberry) is a perfect addition to any allotment or garden. Produces sweet orangey-red fruits which can be harvested in autumn. Over the year, the plant adds interest to the garden, especially in winter with its dark red stems.

Mulch with well rotted compost or manure which will also help keep control of any wayward weeds. After planting cut back to between 15-25cm above soil level. It is important you make sure they are kept well watered and the soil is kept weed free.Plant raspberry canes in fertile, well drained and well cultivated soil. Plant in a sunny location or in a partially shaded area. Plant bare root canes from November to March. Plant firmly 35-45cm apart with 120-180cm between rows, and providesupport in the form of a stake when needed.
