Product Description
Looking as flamboyant as the Brazilian festival itself, Carnaval De Rio is a cup-shaped tulip variety in ice white, with lively flashes of vivid red streaks, pictured here beside Tulip Hollandia (blood red). The neat flower heads sit atop tall grey-green stems and are adorned with lance-shaped foliage with narrow white margins. We recommend teaming Carnaval De Rio with other red, yellow and white tulips, for a vibrant display that seems to glow in the sun's rays.

Growing at a glance…
Tulip bulbs should be planted in autumn, before any frost. Find an area of soil that is well-drained and moist and plant your bulbs at twice their depth and spaced apart by 10-15cm. Ensure they are properly covered, you should not be able to see them on the surface of the soil. Position in an area that you know receives plenty of sunlight but is also sheltered from harsh winds. Deadhead the flowers once they wilt, encouraging a healthier plant.
