Product Description

Turnip Snowball is a top-quality turnip, providing crops all the way from early summer to mid-winter! This high yielding crop is highly sweet, perfect for early autumn recipes. Keep the soil dry, as this allows you to leave the turnips in the ground for months. Sow directly outdoors from April to August.

Growing at a glance…

Sow into position outdoors as soon as the ground is pliable after winter (this is usually in April). Sow a second crop several weeks after the first for a later harvest, providing more vegetables for your kitchen. Cover seeds with 1cm of fine soil and space rows 10-15cm apart. When young seedlings are roughly 5cm tall, thin about 15-20cm apart. Germination will roughly take 14 to 21 days or longer, depending upon soil and weather conditions. They're ready for harvest when turnips are no larger than 3 inches in diameter.
