Parthenocissus tricuspidata Veitchii, commonly known as ‘Boston Ivy' is one of the most vigorous self-clinging climbing plants within the UK. This enchanting plant, originating from China and Japan, produces remarkable three-lobed leaves in wonderful autumnal colours. From September to November, the ivy foliage turns from glossy green to bright crimson with a striking hint of purple. They can tolerate all areas of the garden from sunny to the most shaded, where they will thrive in fertile, well-drained soil. Can reach a mature height of 10m but can be pruned back accordingly to suit your desired garden display. 9cm pot plants supplied.

Boston Ivy is a fantastic and vigorous climber that can be planted in either full sun or partial shade. Ensure the soil is not left to dry out and is well drained.
They can become a very large plant and therefore it is important that they are pruned back each year to fit comfortably into the space/area available. This can be done in late winter (after flowering) and it is also important that you provide some form of support for the plant until it is established.
