Weigela Red Prince is a bushy deciduous shrub native to eastern Asia. Masses of rich ruby red flowers clustered amongst simple dark green leaves, with its neat, compact habit this shrub is an excellent addition to the bed or border. Plant on a throughway in order to enjoy its heady fragrance which has the added bonus of attracting butterflies and bees to the garden. You should lightly prune back annually, following flowering. Remove any wayward or damaged branches. Red Prince holds the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit for its reliable performance, stability of colour and form and good resistance to pests and diseases. 9cm pot grown plant supplied.
