Product Description

Masses of bright red funnel-shaped flowers are produced in double rows along the top of slightly arching racemes. A showy bulbous perennial with sword-shaped mid-green leaves, the Crocosmia Lucifer is ideal for planting in bold swathes through the border. Its tall upright habit makes it the perfect partner for many flowering grasses. We recommend accompanying Crocosmia Lucifer with Crocosmia Sunglow and Emily McKenzie for a scorching display of colour. Or if you'd prefer more variation, plant with Red Hot Poker, Achillea and Helenium. 8/10cm bulbs supplied. Flowering throughout the summer. Height 1.2m.

Growing at a glance…

Crocosmia are best planted in fertile, well-drained soil in the spring. They can tolerate full sun or partial shade, and best planted in groups. Ideal for border or containers. Take some precaution in the winter to help protect the bulbs (for example apply a mulch annually) and water freely to assist in the growth.
