Product Description

Wine Eyed Jill is a fabulous Dahlia variety that produces a perfectly formed ball-shaped head, made up of layers of gentle peach petals. True to its namesake, each flower blends to wine purple in the centre. Flowers all the way from June to late September/early October. We'd recommend planting with other Dahlias in autumnal colours such as yellow or orange for a varied border or patio display. Height 1m and spread 50cm. First grade tubers supplied.

Growing at a glance…

Dahlia tubers can be planted outdoors, 10cm deep in fertile well-drained soil in spring when the frost has disappeared. They prefer to be in a sunny location and spaced at approximately 45cm apart. In areas where there is extreme cold, dig up dahlias and store in potting compost over the winter. Apply a high potash fertiliser every few weeks in the summer to help growth. Dead head when necessary.
