Monarda, also known as bergamot have fascinating scented flowers that are a striking addition to Flower beds and borders. Beauty of Cobham is a clump-forming herbaceous perennial, with mint scented aromatic, lance-shaped, purplish-green leaves. Pale purplish-pink flowers with contrasting purple calyxes. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it their Award of Garden Merit for its reliable performance, stability of colour and form and good resistance to pests and diseases. Usefully, these thrive in shade and semi shade where other perennials struggle. Height 60cm. First grade loose root plants supplied.
