Product Description

Our great value mixed packs can include any of our varieties with the added excitement of not knowing what you've planted until September comes. All as beautiful as each other, these bulbous summer perennials produce delicate curled petals with wavy edges, standing on stiff upright stems and accompanied by beams of rich green foliage. This exotic-looking perennial is a breath of fresh air for a waning garden at the end of summer, when most plants are past their best. Originating from the hot plains of South Africa, Nerines feel most at home in a freely draining soil in full sun. Add to your autumn colour with other southern hemisphere bulbous perennials such as Eucomis, Amaryllis and Alstroemeria. Top size 12cm+ bulbs supplied. Flowers August to November. Height 50-60cm.

Growing at a glance…

Nerines prefer to be planted in a sunny position, in fertile/well drained soil. They are ideal for potting up and can be introduced to the garden in April. As they are not completely hardy, we recommend to plant in pots, keep in frost-proof place and remove in to the garden in late April. Can be watered freely when growth begins to appear but should be held back when the bulb is dormant.
