Growing at a glance…
Sparaxis will grow in any fertile soil but favour a warm, protected spot in the garden. Severe frost can damage the bulbs, so take precautions to plant outside after the threat of on-going frosts has passed. Plant in any well-drained and relatively fertile soil, at approx 5cm deep and 10cm apart. Planting time is late late autumn or in spring after all signs of frost have passed.
