Commonly known as the 'Torch Lily', Kniphofia Red Hot Poker is a statuesque, upright perennial which produces fiery red clusters of spiked buds on its tall, tubular stem, opening into orange flowers which slowly fade to yellow. Red Hot Poker's lush, evergreen foliage, flaming colour palette and impressive stature make it the perfect addition to gardens in need of height and vibrancy. They work particularly well in planting schemes of hot colours such as red and orange, or planted amongst contrasting ornamental grasses to add a dramatic burst of colour and texture. Kniphofias prefer full or half sun, and are very easy to grow and maintain. Flowers July to October. Height 1m. Supplied as UK-grown 5cm module plants.

Water freely during the growing season, and deadhead as necessary to help prolong growth.They are suitable for planting in all types of well drained garden soil. They work best once planted in a sunny or lightly shaded location.
