Product Description
This brilliant Gooseberry Collection produces soft an abundance of flavourful fruit from July that can then be used within many culinary dishes such as crumbles, pies and jams. Gooseberries have been a popular choice within British gardens since the 19th century due to their versatility where they can cope in colder climates and are easy to grow. Reaching a mature height of one metre, the fruit is surrounded by bushy foliage, preferring areas of direct sun and well-drained soil where they will thrive. This Rubus uva-crispa collection includes three of each variety: Gooseberry Invicta (an award winning, smooth skinned variety) and Hinnonmaki Red and Yellow (two traditional varieties which boast strong resistance to disease). Supplied as bare rooted plants they can easily be planted on arrival in rows at around 1.5m apart.
