Growing at a glance…
Ajuga plants can be pruned back in early spring to help keep them under control, as they will spread quickly once established. They prefer a sheltered location, but can be grown in almost all reasonable soils, in either partial sun or shade. Water regularly, but take care not to over water. Plant out in spring as soon as possible to give them time to establish. To plant, dig a hole in the border that’s big enough to house the entire root ball. Do this until the top of the soil from the module is just below the top of the pot. Fill around the modules with soil and firm them down gently.
