Also known as the Star of Persia or Persian onion, this sophisticated Allium produces spherical heads made up of silvery lilac star shaped-flowers. The gigantic globes grow on a stocky 30-40cm stem above beautiful curled green foliage. They are ideal for the back of the border due to their size or can alternatively be planted in pots and containers. The leaves will wither before the flowers appear in early summer, so we recommend accompanying them with low-growing plants to provide filling foliage over the base. Flowers June-July. Height 50cm. 10-12cm bulbs supplied.
