Product Description
A new stocky variety, Pinball Wizard produces gigantic flowers up to 20cm in diameter on 60cm stems. The spherical and densely-packed flower heads are purple in colour with a slight silver sheen. Top of the list for modern garden designers, Alliums should can planted in drifts and left to naturalise. Their lovely curled green leaves will wither before the flowers appear in the early summer and so we recommend accompanying them with low-growing perennials that will provide filling foliage over the base areas. Flowers May/June. 20cm+ bulbs supplied.

Growing at a glance…
Plant in fertile, well-drained soil at approx 10cm apart and at a depth of roughly 3-4 times the size of the bulb. Larger bulbs should be spaced 20cm apart. Leave untouched for a number of years until the bulbs have multiplied and divide if necessary. Smaller alliums can be grown in containers, but ensure it's large enough to space the bulbs an appropriate distance apart.
