Product Description
Asparagus ‘Herkolim’ is a hardy perennial intended for productive vegetable beds and kitchen gardens. With its fresh green foliage and strong, upright spears, it brings reliable structure and edible interest to gardens from spring into early summer. It is valued for its straight, smooth, white stems and low susceptibility to discolouration.
This asparagus variety can reach around 90-100cm in height once mature, with a spread of approximately 45–60 cm, thriving best in well-drained, fertile soil and full sun.

Growing at a glance…
Prepare your Asparagus beds in advance, and incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil to improve soil structure and fertility. On cold, wet soils the addition of sharp sand or grit will help to improve drainage. Water on a regular basis during hot spells, to ensure they don't dry out. Weed beds by hand as the shallow roots could get damaged by hoeing. Feed with a general fertiliser at the end of March. In autumn cut back the yellowing foliage.
