Product Description
A charming splash of spring, Azalea japonica Pink delights with clusters of soft pink, funnel-shaped flowers that bloom from April into May. These pretty blooms contrast beautifully against glossy, evergreen leaves that maintain their rich green colour throughout the year.
This compact, rounded shrub thrives in moist, acidic, humus-rich soils and is well suited to light woodland gardens, sheltered borders or containers. It adapts to loam, chalk or sandy soils, provided they drain well and remain moist. Preferring dappled shade, it avoids harsh sun to protect its delicate flowers.
Growing to about 75-100 cm in height and spread, Azalea Pink offers seasonal colour alongside year-round structure in the garden. We suggest pairing it with other acid-loving plants such as Rhododendrons or Ferns to create a layered, pollinator-friendly woodland display.
