Product Description
Create an avalanche of summer blooms in shades of pastel orange and yellow. Enormous cascading double flowers reach up to 15cm/6in across. Ideal for hanging baskets or containers, these giant begonias will overflow baskets, creating a 'shower bouquet' effect. Begonias prefer half-sun and a rich moist soil with good drainage. Tubers can be stored over winter and re-used year after year, making begonias fantastic value for money. We recommend growing indoors first, and only planting outside once all frost has disappeared. Why not try pairing with a basket of Splendide Apricot, for an exhibition of glorious apricot blends? Exhibition size 5cm+ tubers supplied. Flowers throughout the summer until the first frosts. Growing at a glance…
Plant your Begonia tubers in early spring, as long as all threat of further frosts has disappeared. Begonias are incredibly sensitive blooms and need to be protected from harsh cold weather. Tubers can be started indoors as early as February if the weather is too unpredictable. Plant hollow side up, 2cm apart and 2.5cm deep. When leaves begin to appear, plant outside in your desired spot that receives plenty of sunlight. Water regularly during warm and dry weather.
