Product Description

Buddleja White Profusion holds an RHS AGM and is also listed on the RHS Plants for pollinators due to it being adored by butterflies in particular. From July onwards, striking white panicle shaped flowers appear atop of large arching branches, and it is not unusual to see them covered in pollinating insects.

White Profusion is a fast growing deciduous shrub and to maintain this vigour over the years, we recommend pruning this buddleja hard in spring and also deadheading where necessary throughout the summer months. It is worth noting that flowers are produced on new growth.

Hardy in most U.K. winters, buddlejas can be grown in any position, but we recommend growing White Profusion in a slightly shaded area of the garden, where the elegant honey-scented flowers can create a statement.

Planting Notes

Planting Plant in a hole deep enough to allow the roots to spread and establish
Soil Type Moist but well-drained soil

Growing at a glance…

Dig a hole in the border that’s big enough to house the root system. If planting in pots, fill a large pot halfway with potting soil and then make a well in the middle. Do this until the top of the soil from the plant is just below the top of the pot. Wedge in the plant by adding soil to the gaps in the hole, firming down the surface to ensure it’s in place, and water well.
