Product Description
Courgette Black Beauty is both easy to grow and high yielding. A perfect crop for beginners, as they produce high amounts of deep green courgettes with ease. Pick them out when they're young (approx 10-12cm), as this is when their flavour is the most concentrated. Sow indoors from March to May or directly outside from May to June once the threat of frost has gone.

Growing at a glance…
To start seeds off early in spring, place a seed sideways 1cm deep in seed compost in a small seed pot. The critical part is temperature - they prefer warm conditions until germinated. Germination usually takes around 7-10 days. Keep the soil moist but try to water around the plants, not over them. Keep soil weed-free to allow air circulation. Feed regularly with a high potassium fertiliser when the first fruits start to appear.
