Product Description
Cucamelon is a unique plant that has a vigorous climbing habit. Its spiral tendrils and height aren't just what makes it unique! These plants produce small fruits that are the same shape as a grape, have the same markings as a watermelon, but actually taste like a cucumber. Their fruit appears in summer and autumn, and can last for long periods of time if they're regularly picked. Sow seeds inside from March to April, or outside from May to June. This plant is technically a tropical perennial, but is grown as an annual in more temperate climates.

Growing at a glance…
Sow thinly in well-drained soil from March to April inside or March to June outdoors. Either a pot or seed tray will do the trick. Ensure seeds sit about 1cm below soil level, and water carefully to ensure they're not disrupted in their growing space. Thin to about 5cm apart when the seedlings grow at least 2 sets of leaves. Provide support for the plants with a cane or trellis as they grow to about 5cm.
