Dahlia Chickadee US is a beautiful bi-coloured bloom, producing large flower heads in dark shades of burgundy red and mottled white patches across each flower. A unique variety for the summer garden. Grow in the back or middle border for interest that lasts months on end.

Growing at a glance…
Dahlia tubers can be planted outdoors, 10cm deep in fertile well-drained soil in spring when the frost has disappeared. They prefer to be in a sunny location and spaced at approximately 45cm apart. In areas where there is extreme cold, dig up dahlias and store in potting compost over the winter. Apply a high potash fertiliser every few weeks in the summer to help growth. Dead head when necessary.
