Product Description

Dahlia ‘Karma Prospero’ brings soft, romantic tones to summer and autumn borders. Its waterlily-shaped blooms open in pale lilac-pink streaked with cream, creating a delicate, calming effect against rich green foliage. The gentle hues are equally striking in mixed plantings or as cut flowers, adding elegance both outdoors and indoors.

Soft blooms appear from midsummer and continue through to the first frosts, providing a gentle, enduring presence in borders. Growing to around 1 m tall with a spread of approximately 50 cm, ‘Karma Prospero’ adds graceful vertical structure without overshadowing neighbouring plants. Its pastel shades maintain a subtle yet noticeable impact, making it a standout even among more muted companions.

Thriving in fertile, well-drained soil and full sun, this decorative Dahlia produces abundant, long-lasting blooms when cared for properly.

Bred for professional cut-flower production, ‘Karma Prospero’ combines strong, straight stems with softly coloured, waterlily-like blooms, offering reliable performance and longevity when cut. In the garden, it pairs beautifully with airy grasses, silvery-leaved perennials such as Artemisia, or pastel-hued companions like Echinacea and late-flowering Salvias, creating layered textures and harmonious colour palettes.

Growing at a glance…

Dahlia tubers can be planted outdoors, 10cm deep in fertile well-drained soil in spring when the frost has disappeared. They prefer to be in a sunny location and spaced at approximately 45cm apart. In areas where there is extreme cold, dig up dahlias and store in potting compost over the winter. Apply a high potash fertiliser every few weeks in the summer to help growth. Dead head when necessary.
