Dahlia Collarette Night Butterfly
OUT OF STOCK
Night Butterfly is a gorgeous Collarette Dahlia with a single row of flat, deep red to near black petals, with shorter pink and white shorter florets. The petals surround the decorative yellow centres, that are a magnet for bees. The blooms are showy and make an excellent choice for sunny borders and patio pots. They also make the perfect cut flower for indoor displays as they have a great vase life. Height 80-90cm. Flowering is from June to October. Top grade dahlia tubers supplied.

Dahlia tubers can be planted 10cm deep in fertile well drained soil, outdoors in spring when the frost has disappeared. They prefer to be in a sunny location and spaced at approximately 45cm apart. The tubers can also be started planted in boxes or trays in a heated or unheated greenhouse and then transplanted in their required position in the middle of May.
In areas where there is extreme cold, dig up dahlias and store in a cool peat over the winter. Apply a high potash fertiliser every few weeks in the summer to help growth and they can be dead headed when necessary.
