Dahlia ‘Rosella’ lights up summer borders with bold, pink, dinner-plate-sized blooms. This Dahlia typically grows to about 1.3-1.5 metres tall with a spread of roughly half that, giving it a substantial presence at the back of a bed or as a standout specimen in larger containers of mixed plantings. The fully double flowerheads are striking in scale and sit above mid-green foliage that supports their generous weight without losing elegance.
‘Rosella’ thrives in fertile, humus-rich, moist yet well-drained soil under full sun for best bloom performance. In suitable conditions, it flowers reliably from July through to the first frosts, delivering long-lasting colour well into autumn.

Growing at a glance…
Dahlia tubers can be planted outdoors, 10cm deep in fertile well-drained soil in spring when the frost has disappeared. They prefer to be in a sunny location and spaced at approximately 45cm apart. In areas where there is extreme cold, dig up dahlias and store in potting compost over the winter. Apply a high potash fertiliser every few weeks in the summer to help growth. Dead head when necessary.
