Product Description

Geum ‘Totally Tangerine’ brings warm, glowing colour and light structure to borders and mixed planting. It produces apricot-orange, semi-double flowers on slender, branching stems above fresh green foliage. The softly ruffled blooms create an airy display with vivid colour, while its clump-forming habit forms a neat mound that supports the long succession of flowers without appearing dense.

This vibrant herbaceous perennial flowers in late spring through summer, often extending into early autumn. Plants reach up to 90 cm in height with a spread of around 60 cm, creating an upright yet relaxed presence that weaves easily through mixed planting schemes. It performs best in moist, well-drained soil in full sun, though it will also tolerate light shade, making it well-suited to borders, cottage gardens and informal plantings.

The peach-to-tangerine tones combine beautifully with the cool blues and purples of Salvias, Nepetas, and hardy Geraniums, while also pairing well with soft pastels and ornamental grasses. Nectar-rich blooms attract pollinators, and the open stems allow neighbouring plants to show through, helping create layered, textural planting that evolves throughout the season.

Growing at a glance…

Geums can be planted in spring and autumn. Position them somewhere sunny, although perhaps out of direct sunlight as they can get scorched from harsh rays. Dig a hole in the border that’s big enough to house the root system. Firm in gently and water well.
