'Phantom' is a wonderful addition to our range of Hydrangea paniculata, with pretty white flower panicles that emerge pale green and mature to white. The yellow-green foliage adds further interest and contrasts beautifully against the large showy blooms. A winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, this easy-to-grow shrub is ideal for borders, patio pots and wonderful for flower arrangements. Flowers July to September. Grows to a height of 1-1.5m with a spread of 1.5-2.5m. 9cm pot plants supplied.

Hydrangeas can be grown in fertile, well drained soil and often prefer a shady location. It is also worth thinking about how much exposure the area you wish to plant them in will have towards strong winds, as they can often limit new growth in spring. Make sure that the hydrangea receives lots of water when the summer comes. Hydrangeas are very low maintenance and will need little pruning, but can be done in spring as new shoots appear. The old shoots should be left in the winter and not until spring. Apply a mulch annually to protect from winter colds.
