Product Description
An exquisite hybrid of red and blue varieties, 'Purple Prince' is a spectacular, free flowering 'mophead' Hydrangea with an upright, bushy habit. The deep green of its ovate, toothed foliage contrasts perfectly with its globes of dramatic purple flowers, making this compact shrub the perfect feature for a patio or as a centre piece for the border. Happiest in full sun or partial shade, the Hydrangea Purple Prince prefers well-drained soil and grows to an ultimate height of 1 to 1.5m, however it can be restricted in a container to a more manageable height of around 70cm. Flowers between June and September. 15cm plus plant supplied in a 9cm pot.

Growing at a glance…
Make sure that the hydrangea receives lots of water when the summer comes. Hydrangeas are very low maintenance and will need little pruning, but can be done in spring as new shoots appear. The old shoots should be left in the winter and not removed until spring. Apply a mulch annually to protect from winter colds.Hydrangeas can be grown in fertile, well drained soil and often prefer a shady location.
