Our Magnolia stellata 'Rosea' is a must have for any garden display. An RHS award winner, this stunning shrub produces profusions of lightly scented, brilliant pale pink star-shaped flowers that bloom from March through to May, sitting atop sturdy stems. These elegant flowers present a beautiful fragrance and so we advise planting in areas of the garden where this can be fully enjoyed. An ideal feature for smaller gardens due to its size, reaching an eventual height of 2.5 metres, this compact shrub will flourish in sunny or partially shaded areas in acidic to neutral soil. With its compact habit this shrub can be pruned to keep to a managable height. Little pruning is required for these magnificent shrubs, but if required you can prune lightly once the flowers have faded. It is often recommended that you provide some protection from strong winds, and provide a mulch in early spring. Do not allowplants to dry out in hot weather and water regularly.Plant in moist, acid-to-neutral soil in full sun or partial shaded areas. Shallow planting is required for magnolia bushes, in areas that have really good drainage.
