Product Description
A captivating Magnolia variety, 'Susan' produces showy fragrant flowers that have a similar appearance to a Tulip and flower from April through to May. The petals on the outside have a deep crimson-burgundy hue to them that contrasts beautifully against the soft pink of the inner petal. The flowers rest upon mid-green foliage that has a slight gloss to it during the summer months, helping to create a stunning feature. A bushy, upright shrub, this is a fantastic addition to smaller gardens where it can be planted in patio containers or the front of garden borders where it will reach a mature height of 3m. 25-30cm tall plant, supplied in 12cm pot.

Little pruning is required for these magnificent shrubs, but if required you can prune lightly once the flowers have faded. It is often recommended that you provide some protection from strong winds, and provide a mulch in early spring. Do notallow plants to dry out in hot weather and water regularly.Plant in moist, acid-to-neutral soil in full sun or partial shaded areas. Shallow planting is required for magnolia bushes, in areas that have really good drainage.
