Milk Thistle – Silybum Marianum is a native foliage plant that produces prickly leaves a striking purple bloom. Bees and butterflies love this variety, and they can even produce a light scent. Superb for the border or a wildflower display.

Sow directly outside into their growing location from March to April or June to September for flowers the following season. They prefer medium fertile soil and full sun. They can be overwintered, but won't do well in wet conditions.
