Product Description
This exotic-looking perennial is a welcome breath of fresh air for a waning garden at the end of summer, when most plants are past their best. The delightful Nerine Bowdenii (also known as the Guernsey Lily) provides delicate pink curled petals with faint stripes, standing on stiff upright stems and accompanied by beams of rich green foliage. Originating from the hot plains of South Africa, Nerine Bowdenii feels most at home in a freely draining soil in full sun. Add to your autumn colour with other southern hemisphere bulbous perennials such as Eucomis, Amaryllis and Alstroemeria. 11/12cm bulbs supplied. Flowers September to October. Height 60cm.

Growing at a glance…
Nerines prefer to be planted in a sunny position, in fertile/well drained soil. They are ideal for potting up and can be introduced to the garden in April. As they are not completely hardy, we recommend to plant in pots, keep in frost-proof place and remove in to the garden in late April. Can be watered freely when growth begins to appear but should be held back when the bulb is dormant.
